Edmond and Brian J. Theriault have been making traditional snowshoes for over thirty years. Because this is a dying art form, we have put together this DVD/VHS video.

We cut up the tree into strips of wood for the frames. We take the hides, fleshing the skin and scraping the hair off, then we cut and size the rawhide for weaving, our own three way patterns, on the snowshoes.
